Sushi Chain Opening Its First Location On The Upper West Side
Bondi Sushi is opening soon at 2052 Broadway, between West 71st and 72nd streets. Here's what to know.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Bondi Sushi is opening soon on the Upper West Side.
The new location at 2052 Broadway, between West 71st and 72nd streets, will be its sixth in New York City, which serves up nigiri, hot and crispy hand rolls, sashimi, crispy rice and build your own rice bowls.
"Bondi Sushi was born with the simple notion that life is better at the beach," reads an About section on its website. "Our simple menu of fresh fish allows you to take a moment and enjoy everyday leisure: whether you are dining with us at the Sushi Bar or at home."

The exact opening date for the new Upper West Side eatery isn't set, but the restaurant's website says that it is "coming soon," and the signage for the sushi spot is already up.

The UWS space was previously home to the beauty supply store Sabon.

Bondi Sushi's hand rolls on its dinner menu cost between $8 and $12, while the crispy rice bowls will run you $12 an order.
Its lunch specials will run every day until 5:30 p.m.
Bondi is an Australian word that describes the "noise made by sea waves breaking on the beach." It also the name of Bondi Beach, which is one of the most famous beaches in the world in Australia.
