Teen Beat Up And Robbed On Upper West Side Train Platform: Police
NYPD released photos this week of an attacker wanted for punching a 15-year-old boy while he was standing on the 72nd Street platform.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An attacker beat up and robbed a teenager while he was standing on the platform of the West 72nd Street and Broadway train station, police said recently.
The 15-year-old boy was waiting on the northbound platform for the 1, 2, 3 line around 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 6, when a person approached him and punched him in the face, police said earlier this week.
The attacker continued to kick the teenager as he fell to the ground, and eventually grabbed his iPhone 11, police said.

The attacker then fled on a northbound 1 train and was last seen exiting the West 137th Street and Broadway station, police said.
The 15-year-old was taken to Cornell Hospital with minor injuries to his face, police said.

NYPD describes the attacker as in his late teens.
