Teen Girl Vanishes From Upper West Side Apartment

The child has been missing for more than three months.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A 16-year-old girl from the Upper West Side has been missing since November, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, Juliette Kapon was last seen leaving her home at 160 West 72nd St., which is between Amsterdam Avenue and Columbus Avenue, on Nov. 19, 2024.

Kapon was described as approximately 130 pounds, 5 feet 3 inches tall with black hair and glasses, police said. She was last seen wearing a blue jacket, black jean shorts and carrying a black backpack, authorities said.

Police said that anyone with information about Kapon can call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
