Teen Stabbed In UWS Weekend Attack Slated To Recover: NYPD
The 19-year-old was stabbed about 9:30 p.m. Saturday night on Amsterdam Avenue, police said.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY - A teenager who was stabbed near Frederick Douglass Park Saturday night is expected to recover from his injuries, authorities said.
The 19-year-old victim was stabbed in the right leg with an unknown sharp object about 9:30 p.m. on 103rd Street and Amsterdam Avenue, police said.
Medics rushed the teen to St. Luke’s Hospital soon after, police said.

The attacker, who remains at large, fled into the nearby Frederick Douglass Houses at 875 Amsterdam Ave. following the stabbing, police said.
There have been 219 reported felony assaults in the Upper West Side in 2023 so far. For reference, 217 similar assaults were reported this time last year.

Citywide, felony assaults are also on the rise, with 21,133 similar crimes in 2023 compared with 19,959 reported this time last year.
