Teenage Tourist Sucker-Punched On Upper West Side: Report
A 17-year-old tourist from Nashville was walking Wednesday near Central Park, when he was randomly attacked, the New York Post reported.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A teenage tourist from Nashville was randomly punched in the face on Wednesday while walking with his family on the Upper West Side, according to a new report.
The man came out of nowhere and slugged the 17-year-old near Central Park West and 66th Street about 12:30 p.m., his dad told the New York Post.
The man immediately ran off, leaving the teen bruised and with a bloody nose, according to the report.

The teen was treated at Lenox Hill Hospital, the New York Post reported. NYPD told Patch it did not have details about the attack as of Thursday morning.
While the family was stunned about the sucker punch, they also told the Post that Upper West Siders immediately came to their aid.

“I looked up from where my son lay and the first person I laid eyes on was already on the phone calling 911, giving a detailed description of where we were,” the teen’s mom, told The Post.
“People were helping in every way. Everyone who came up asked if they could help.”
