Upper West Halloween: Costume Parade, Open Streets & More

From costumed fun to open street (and museum) trick-or-treating, here are the best and spookiest Halloween events on the UWS.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY - Halloween on the Upper West Side might mainly be associated with lavishly decorated townhomes — which you can find simply by taking a walk in the neighborhood.

But there's more than just decorations on tap this week. In addition to costume- and candy-filled events, several Upper West Side streets will be opened up to trick-or-treaters as part of the city's “trick-or-streets": a one-day expansion of the Open Streets program.
