Upper West Side JG Melon To Close, Report Says
The famous burger spot just opened its Upper West Side location in 2017.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The Upper West Side location of famed burger spot JG Melon is set to close at the end of the week, according to reports.
Restaurant owners told the West Side Rag that Sunday's service would be the last at the JG Melon on Amsterdam Avenue near West 83rd Street. The spin off of the famous Upper East Side pub and burger spot opened in 2017, according to the report.
The reason for the closure is a mystery, as owners declined to tell the West Side Rag why JG Melon was shutting down. Another restaurant by the same company is expected to open in the same location.
