UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The Mill, a Korean restaurant between West 112th and 113th Streets on Broadway, permanently shuttered in August after serving customers from the location for 35 years, according to Eater NY.

A particularly popular spot for Columbia University and Barnard College students, The Mill prided itself on providing home-style Korean cuisine to the "multitudes of students and residents in the surrounding area," reads an About section on its website.

Favorite menu items included steamed dumplings, glass noodles with vegetables, assorted cold vegetables with a fried egg and meat or tofu, seafood pancakes, and fried rice.

The restaurant first opened at 2895 Broadway in 1986.

"It was one of the early Korean restaurants to open outside of Manhattan's Koreatown, and when it took over the former Mill Luncheonette, the menu even offered egg creams," wrote Eater NY reporter Bao Ong.

There is no new building permit or liquor license for the location, making it unclear what will happen to the address.
