Upper West Side Man Goes Missing From Supportive Housing: NYPD

UPDATE: Fazil Hamid was found safe on Monday.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A 60-year-old man has gone missing from the Upper West Side, police said.

Fazil Hamid was last seen about 5:30 a.m. on Friday leaving the Park 79 building at 117 W. 79th St., near Columbus Avenue, police said.

He is roughly 5 feet, 10-inches tall, 145 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black rain jacket, black jeans, and black boots, police said.

The Park 79 address was recently transitioned from an out-of-business and illegal hotel into supportive housing. The building had a Grand Opening celebration last week.
