Upper West Side Restaurant Offers Trip Into Alice's Wonderland
A national interactive performance is coming to the UWS to transform part of a newly opened restaurant into Alice's Wonderland.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A rabbit hole, the Mad Hatter, specially-themed cocktails, the Queen of Hearts, "Eat Me" cakes, and more are coming to a new Upper West Side restaurant and entertainment complex that opened with significant buzz in December 2020.
"The Alice: An Immersive Cocktail Experience," which is a 90-minute interactive performance currently traveling the United States, is headed to the Upper West Side's Pekarna New York on Thursday, Sept. 23, and staying through the end of November.
Pekarna is a 6,500 square-foot Slovenia-American restaurant and entertainment complex at 594 Amsterdam Avenue (West 89th Street), which can seat more than 320 people at full capacity.

The establishment is broken down into two public dining rooms on the upper level and four sizable private rooms on the bottom floor, and one of those will be transformed into the world of Alice in Wonderland through Nov. 30.
Dubbed as the tea party to end all tea parties, customers are presented with a theatrical, alternate reality experience that "will take you down the rabbit hole and through the looking glass."

Patrons venturing into Pekarna's Alice's Wonderland can expect the following activities:
- Create two bespoke Wonderland cocktails.
- Solve riddles and challenges just like Alice.
- Devour “Eat Me” cake
- Paint the roses red.
