Upper West Side Smoke Shop Robbed At Gunpoint: Police

Two men robbed an Upper West Side business of hundreds of dollars in merchandise, according to police.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An Upper West Side smoke shop was robbed at gunpoint earlier this week, police said on Wednesday.

Two men walked into the Exotic Smoke Shop at 383 Columbus Ave. between West 83rd and 84th streets about 1:30 pm. on Monday, the pair then asked about different products in the store, police said.

After sampling the products, one of the two men pulled out a gun and pointed it at a 21-year-old employee working the register, police said. The other man then grabbed roughly $390 worth of goods, police said.

The gunman never fired a shot, police said.

The pair then ran out of the store, police said.
