UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Workers at an Upper West Side dollar store were threatened with a knife in a brazen mid-day robbery, police said.

An unknown man entered the store just before 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 16 and pulled a knife on an employee standing behind the counter, police said. The robber then opened the store's cash register and swiped $40 before running out of the store, said police.

Workers at the store — located on Amsterdam Avenue near West 101st Street — were not hurt during the stick up.
