UWS Library Closing For 15-Month Renovation In February
The New York Public Library's Bloomingdale Branch on West 100th Street will get a new teen room and upgraded restrooms.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An Upper West Side library branch will close for a 15-month, $3 million renovation project in February, New York Public Library officials announced this month.
The Bloomingdale branch library on West 100th Street between Columbus and Amsterdam avenues is set to close on Feb. 16, library officials said. Renovations include the construction of a new teen room as well as upgraded restrooms and drinking fountains on the library's second floor.
The library's new teen room will allow teenage library users to "talk, engage in group study, use computers, or work independently without disturbing other patrons," an NYPL statement read.
