"After a 62-year run on Broadway as neighborhood merchants on the Upper West Side, our family is closing Laytner's Linen & Home this fall," Laytner wrote.

The business sells home goods, bedding, quilts, blankets, pillows, towels, and robes.

"Who you sleep with is your business, what you sleep with is ours," reads the company's slogan.

"Wow Mel! I never made the connection! Bought all our bed linen there," one customer wrote on Laytner's Facebook post.

A store employee told ILoveTheUpperWestSide, which was the first publication to report on the closing, that the business' last day would be September 30.

The store's windows are now plastered with signs that say "20 percent to 70 percent off everything," "It's The Final Curtain Call," and "Stock Up Forever."
