The spot will be a pizza and Italian themed restaurant and cafe. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. every day.

It is owned by Jeffrey Lefcourt, who also runs the Smith brand of restaurants, which includes the popular UWS spot The Smith at 1900 Broadway.

The Community Board 7 committee was "enthusiastic" given Lefcourt's track record in the neighborhood, and approved his petition for a two-year liquor license unanimously.

The restaurant is replacing Saffron.

Cibo NY: 635 Amsterdam Ave. (West 91st Street)

A new upscale family-style seafood restaurant will be replacing Blockheads, a popular Mexican eatery, at the corner of West 91st Street and Amsterdam.

Due to the interior of the restaurant being relatively small, the new owner said that they will take advantage of the building's outdoor space, including the installation of an outdoor shed.

The eatery will be open weeknights from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and on weekends from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Despite the similar name, the restaurant does not seem to have any connection to the nearby Cibo e Vino at West 89th Street and Broadway.

The restaurant is expected to open sometime in October as the new owners have been remodeling the space.

Cibo NYC's two-year liquor license was approved unanimously.
