UWS New Restaurant Openings: Pizza Place, Latin Fusion, Chicken Spot
An agenda for an Upper West Side community board meeting gives an insight into new restaurants opening soon in the neighborhood.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A Detroit-styled pizza place, a Latin fusion spot, and a rotisserie chicken eatery are among the latest restaurants coming to the Upper West Side.
The soon-to-open eateries are on an agenda for a Community Board 7 meeting next week as their owners seek the board's approval to obtain liquor licenses.

Emmy Squared Pizza: 200 W. 60th St.
- Emmy Squared Pizza serves up a combination of New York-style grandma pie with a Detroit-style twist. Each pizza has a fluffy focaccia-like dough that's topped with crispy cheese.
- Emmy Squared Pizza also serves up burgers, which was voted one of "The Best New Burgers in NYC" by Gothamist.
- It first opened in Williamsburg in 2016 and has since expanded across the city.
- The restaurant also serves up sandwiches, salads, and wine.
- Emmy Squared Pizza is applying for a two-year liquor license on Wednesday.
Poulet Sans Tete: 590 Amsterdam Ave. (Between West 88th and 89th streets)

- Poulet Sans Tete is a rotisserie chicken delivery restaurant based in the West Village.
- Everything is made in-house and the business only buys from local and family-owned farms that keep healthy and happy chickens.
- Outside of its signature rotisserie chickens, the restaurant offers french fries, spiced cauliflower, salad, roast corn, dripping potatoes, cucumbers, quinoa salad, mac and cheese, sauteed kale, sauteed brussels sprouts, chicken and vegetable soup and a garlic baguette. It also offers a pulled chicken sandwich.
- The Upper West Side address will be its second location.

New Ranchito Latin Fusion Restaurant: 914 Columbus Ave. (West 105th Street)
- There's less information available about this new Latin fusion restaurant.
- What we do know, is there is a restaurant named Ranchito at 924 Amsterdam Avenue, which is located between West 105th and 106th streets — incredibly close to the 914 Columbus Ave. address.
- Patch reached out to Ranchito to see if they were also behind this new restaurant.
- New Ranchito Latin Fusion Restaurant is applying for a two-year liquor license on Wednesday.
Mochi Dolci: 590 Amsterdam Ave. (Between West 88th and 89th streets)
- There is also mystery around Mochi Dolci as there is no current New York City eatery with the name.
- Mochi is a Japanese rice cake and dolci is the Italian word for a sweet dessert.
