UWS Newsstand Worker Stabbed During Robbery, Police Say
Stick up men holding knives robbed a newsstand on the corner of West 60th Street and Broadway.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A newsstand worker was stabbed during a robbery on the Upper West Side, police said.
Two unknown men approached a newsstand on the corner of West 60th Street and Broadway on Thursday night and demanded the clerk come out of the stand, police said. One of the men stood in front of the newsstand and the other, who was holding a knife, stood by its entrance, said police.
The thieves and newsstand worker began to struggle, resulting in the man being stabbed in the left shoulder, police said. Robbers grabbed $1,440 in cash from the business and fled into the Columbus Avenue and West 59th Street train station.

Medics treated the newsstand worker for a minor stab wound at St. Luke's Hospital, police said.
Police described both suspects as men in their late teens or 20s and released a photo of the robbers taken near the crime scene.
