UWS Prep School Student Sues Over Musical Chairs Injury: Reports
The former student at York Preparatory School claims she was injured while being forced to play musical chairs.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An alumna of a posh Upper West Side prep school is suing her alma mater for injuries she suffered while playing musical chairs, according to reports.
Kate Liggett claims that the York Preparatory School is liable for damages for the injuries she received while playing the normally-tame game in a dance class, the New York Post first reported. Liggett was forced to participate in the game "under penalty of disciplinary action," and the teacher "failed to properly educate participants" on proper musical chairs safety, according to a lawsuit obtained by the Post.
One of Liggett's classmates, Ethan Levy, pulled a chair out from under her during the game, the Post reported. Liggett landed on the floor and suffered "serious personal injuries, pain and suffering, emotional trauma, distress and medical expenses," according to the lawsuit. Levy has also been named as a defendant in the lawsuit, the Post reported.
