UWS Train Stabbing: Photo Released Of Person Wanted For Attack

Police released a photo Wednesday night of a person wanted for a recent stabbing within the 72nd Street train station.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Police released a photo Wednesday night of a person wanted for stabbing someone in an Upper West Side train station earlier in July.

The person is wanted for stabbing a 62-year-old man in the chest on board a 2 train at the 72nd Street station after the two got in an unknown argument around 5:35 p.m. on July 14, police said.

The stabber then fled the train station and ran toward West End Avenue, police said.

The 62-year-old was taken to St. Luke's Hospital and remains in stable condition, police said.

NYPD released the first photo Wednesday of the person wanted in connection to the stabbing.
