UWS Woman Sues Local McDonald's For Restaurant Beatdown: Report
The woman claims the fast-food restaurant's staff did nothing as diners assaulted her in 2015.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — An Upper West Side woman is suing a McDonald's franchise owner after she was beaten up at the local fast food place and staff never intervened to help her, according to reports.
Elizabeth Storelli, a 49-year-old nurse, stopped in to the McDonalds on West 71st Street and Broadway on a July 2015 night when her pursuit of a burger and some fries turned into a violent nightmare, the New York Post reported.
After accidentally bumping into another customer, Storelli was berated with insults and had a drink poured over her head, she told the Post. The nurse fled the restaurant, but was apprehended outside and beaten so badly she suffered a concussion and a broken rib, according to the report.

Storelli's new lawsuit, filed recently in state supreme court, claims that the McDonald's staff should have come to her aid, and that the owner of the particular franchise is liable for the negligence of the workers.

The Upper West Side McDonald's is owned by Bruce Colley, a name familiar tothe New York City tabloids. Colley allegedly wooed Kerry Kennedy while she was still married to now New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, resulting in the power couple's breakup.

The franchise owner told the Post in a statement that: "Our biggest priority is always the safety and well-being of our customers and employees."
