Westsider Books, UWS Used Bookstore, To Close After 35 Years

The used and rare bookstore's inventory goes on sale Tuesday.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Upper West Side bookseller Westsider Books will close in the coming weeks, the business announced on its website.

The rare and used bookstore is launching a closing sale on Tuesday, Jan. 15, business owners announced Monday. The store was founded on the Upper West Side 35 years ago in 1984, according to the business.

Books will be discounted 30 percent until the store closes, according to Westsider Books' website. The store's hours will remain 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the closing sale. Westsider Books is located at 2246 Broadway between West 80th and 81st streets.
