Woman, 75, Killed In Van Hit-And-Run On The Upper West Side: Police

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A 75-year-old woman was struck and killed in a hit-and-run by a van on the Upper West Side, police said on Thursday.

The woman was walking on Dec. 9 at the intersection of Columbus Avenue and West 92nd Street about 5 a.m., when she was struck by a motorist who drove a Ford van headed south on Columbus Avenue, police said.

Emergency services rushed the woman to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, police said.

The driver did not remain at the scene, police said.

The woman died from her injuries at the hospital Sunday, police said.

There have been no arrests.

The NYPD's Highway Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
