Woman Shoved To Ground During UWS Robbery, Police Say
A 29-year-old woman was walking near Amsterdam Avenue and West 89th Street when she was shoved from behind.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man wanted in connection with a violent robbery on the Upper West Side.
A 29-year-old woman was walking near Amsterdam Avenue and West 89th Street on Saturday, April 6 when she was approached from behind by an unknown man, police said. The man shoved her to the ground and snatched her purse before running off, police said.
EMS treated the woman for minor injuries at the scene of the crime, police said. The woman's purse contained about $50 in cash and three credit cards.

Police recently released photos of the suspect taken at the West 86th Street and Broadway subway station on the night of the robbery. The suspect is described as a man in his 30s or 40s who weighs about 180 pounds and stands 5-foot-10.
