Zabar's Appears To Be Opening 2nd Upper West Side Location
Zabar's signage recently went up at the just-shuttered Laytner's Linen and Home storefront on the corner of 82nd Street and Broadway.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — It appears that Zabar's has plans for a second Upper West Side storefront after signage for the iconic deli recently went up in the just-shuttered Laytner's Linen and Home window.
The new Zabar's signage at the West 82nd Street and Broadway storefront promotes the deli's store and online market place, but doesn't offer any hints for what the legendary UWS business has planned for the space.
Zabar's did not immediately return Patch's request for comment, but did tell the WestSideRag that there will be discussions on what to do with the space after the holiday season.

Laytner's permanently closed at the beginning of November after 61 years in the neighborhood selling home goods, bedding, and more from the location.
Zabar's has its sole storefront at the corner of West 80th Street and Broadway, which has operated on the Upper West Side since 1934.
