Edward C. Cooke, Longtime Wantagh Resident and Business Owner

Edward C. Cooke, a longtime resident of Wantagh and local business owner passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 14. He was 67 years old.

Visitation will be held this Sunday and Monday  from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at , corner of Park Ave and Beech Street in Wantagh  A final reading and memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. on Monday. 

Cooke was born on December 26^, 1943 in Queens.  He was honorably discharged from the  U.S Army on June 13, 1971.  He was a long time business owner and operator of ME & ME Coffee; a mobile caterer and was affectionately known as “Big Ed” to his many customers, friends and family.

He was the beloved husband of Michele M. Cooke for 43 years; Loving father of Michele Ingegno and Elizabyth Capozzi; cherished grandfather to Patrick D. Ingegno and dear brother of Jacqueline Hoell.

His soft-spoken guidance and gentle influence will be greatly missed by his family.
