New Miss Wantagh Website to Be Created

Wantagh’s Fourth of July Association is creating a new website dedicated to those that have participated in the community’s Miss Wantagh pageant.

“With the search for Miss Wantagh 2011 about to begin, the Association thought it might be a wonderful way to usher in this year’s pageant with a website dedicated to this great event,” said Miss Wantagh Pageant coordinator Ella Stevens. “The Association is looking for photos and stories to post on this website.”

Stevens said there is currently a list of all Miss Wantaghs in the pageant’s history posted on  the website wantagh.li, and the Association would like to expand it.

“We would like to hear from those who have actively participated in the pageant as well as from residents who welcomed the Miss Wantagh runner-ups as they were chauffeured down Wantagh Avenue in the 4th of July parade,” she said.. “We welcome comments from friends and families.”

A page will also be dedicated to those that were Miss Wantagh contestants and runner-ups.
