Seaford Middle School Poets to Have Work Published

Sixteen sixth-graders from have received awards of merit for their poetry after entering the contest, “A Celebration of Poems by Young Authors.”

The poems, written in Cindy Accarino’s English/language arts class, were selected to be published in an anthology that will come out in the fall.

“They were thrilled to learn that they will be published,” said Accarino. “The class selected its favorite poems and entered them into the contest after creating its own personal poetry book with about 50 different poems, using various linguistic and poetic devices and techniques.”
