Seaford Music Students Perform in Albany For State Lawmakers

Some Seaford middle and high school music students recently had the opportunity to perform for state legislators in Albany.

The students, who were part of the Seaford Middle School and Seaford High School Jazz Ensembles, were in Albany as part of the New York State School Music Association’s (NYSSMA) annual “Music in Our Schools Month.” The bands performed in the capitol building’s South Concourse of the Empire State Plaza for an audience of legislators, state workers, and visitors.

The Seaford students were paid visits by State Sen. Charles Fuschillo, R-Merrick, Assemblyman David McDonough, R-North Merrick and Assemblyman Tom McKevitt, R-East Meadow.
