A Beach Shabbat service for congregants of in Wantagh that was planned for Friday night at TOBAY Beach in Massapequa has been cancelled because of impending inclement weather.
The outdoor service was to begin at 6:30 p.m. The National Weather Service is calling for a 60 percent of chance of rain with possible thunderstorms in the area around TOBAY Beach this evening.
Temple B’nai Torah will now instead be holding a Shabbat service at its congregation on 2900 Jerusalem Ave., Wantagh starting at 7:30 p.m. that will feature prayer and music. The temple is also hosting another Shabbat service on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
