Wantagh Resident Receives Student Teacher Scholarship from NEFCU

Hofstra University student Alyson Skloot, a Wantagh resident, has been awarded a $1,000 student teacher scholarship by the Long Island credit union NEFCU.

Westbury-based NEFCU recognized eight student teachers from Long Island colleges and universities for their exemplary academic achievements.

“We would like to recognize Alyson for the hard work and dedication she has shown at Hofstra University,” said Valerie Garguilo, Vice President of Marketing & Community Relations for NEFCU. “We believe Alyson will make a difference in the Long Island community and we are proud to recognize her achievements.”
