What's happening in and around Wantagh and Seaford.

1.The National Weather Service is forecasting rain all day with a high temperature of only 44 degrees. I wish I could tell you this was an April Fools joke. However there is some good news as tomorrow will feel much more like spring in the Wantagh-Seaford area with the National Weather Service expected it to be sunny with a high of 51 degrees.
2. Our weekly crime report will be posted at 8 a.m. to give you an idea of recent police activity in the Wantagh-Seaford area.
3. In case you missed it, yesterday we ran a preview story on the Wantagh High School boys lacrosse team, which has high expectations in 2011 after falling in the Nassau County semifinals a year ago.

3. United Skates of America Roller Skating in Seaford is hosting today. A special church rate offers $7 admission, including skate rental and five game tokens.
4. The softball team is hosting New Hyde Park late this afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
