April 12: Human Remains Discovered, Road Rage Jury Selection, Rain

What's happening in and around Wantagh and Seaford.

1. Yesterday police  two sets of human remains about one-and-one-half miles east of the  water tower during its ongoing search of potential dead bodies along Ocean Parkway.  The remains discovered yesterday are on top of eight that were found along Ocean Parkway in Suffolk County going back to Dec. 11, 2010. The body search may continue today depending on the weather.

2. Today's weather in the Wantagh-Seaford area is expected to be wet with the National Weather Service forecasting an 80 percent chance of rain with a high temperature near 55 degrees.

3. The  boys lacrosse team won its backyard battle with Seaford last night 17-8. Check back later for details on the game and photos.

4. Weather permitting the  softball team is scheduled to take on Clarke at home starting at 4:45 p.m.

5. Jury section in the trial of a 2009 road rage incident in Long Beach that resulted in the death of Wantagh native Ian Sharrin was  yesterday until April 25.
