April 28: Blood Drive, U2 Tribute Band, Free Health Screenings

1. Thursday will produce windy and rainy conditions in the Wantagh-Seaford area with gusts potentially reacying as high as 32 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

2.The Wantagh Public Schools will be holding an all-day district blood drive at starting at 9 a.m.  For further information call 516-679-6480.

3. St. Francis Hospital's new Community Outreach Van will visit the today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to provide free health screenings for adults 18 and older. Screenings include a brief cardiac history, blood pressure testing and a simple blood test for cholesterol and diabetes screening.

4. The popular U2 tribute band Beautiful Day is scheduled to perform at in Wantagh tonight with dooors opening at 7 p.m.
