Christmas Church Services in Wantagh and Seaford

Christians around Long Island and around the world will celebrate Christmas, the commemoration of the birth of Christ over the next two days.  

Here's a look at some local church services on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day:

• St Frances de Chantel: The Roman Catholic Church located at 1309 Wantagh Avenue in Wantagh will hold a Christmas Eve Family Mass at 4 p.m. There will also be masses at 6 p.m. and at midnight with carols starting at 11:30 p.m. On Christmas Day, there will be masses at 7 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon. 
• St. William the Abbot Roman Catholic Church located at 2000 Jackson Avenue in Seaford will celebrate Christmas Eve Mass at 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and midnight, with carols at 11:30 p.m. Christmas Day mass will be at 7:45 a.m., 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
• St James Roman Catholic Church at 80 Hicksville Road in Seaford has Christmas Eve masses scheduled for 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and midnight with caroling at 11:30 p.m. On Christmas Day, there will be masses at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
• Maria Regina Roman Catholic Church at 3956 Jerusalem Avenue in Seaford holds masses at 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Christmas Eve with 10:30 p.m. caroling. Christmas Day, masses will be at 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m.and  noon, with a  12:15 p.m. mass in the auditorium.
• Christ Luteran Church, located at 3384 Island Road in Wantagh hold Christmas Eve services at 5:30 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. and a Christmas Day service at 10 a.m.
• Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, at 2025 Washington Avenue in Seaford  holds Christmas Eve Services at 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. Christmas Day services will be held at 11 a.m.
• The Church of St. Jude Episcopal Church at 3606 Lufberry Avenue in Wantagh holds Christmas Eve services at  5 p.m. and  11:p.m. with pre-service music at 10:30 p.m. There will be a 10:15 a.m. service on Christmas Day.
• Wantagh Memorial Congregational Church located at 1845 Wantagh Avenue holds a family Service at 5 p.m. Christmas Eve, There will be Carols and Candlelight at 8 p.m. and the midnight Service begins at 11:30 p.m.
• Seaford United Methodist Church, located at 2160 Washington Avenue holds a 7:30 p.m. Christmas Eve Service.
