SEAFORD, NY. — Seaford native Zachary Lohrer was honored for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout Thursday, capping over a dozen years in scouting for the member of Boy Scout Troop 690.
Attending the ceremony to honor Lohrer were State Senator Steve Rhoads, Councilman Chris Schneider, Legislator Kayla Knight and other members of Lohrer’s boy scout troop. For his eagle scout project, Lohrer raised funds to purchase and install sustainable benches at North Babylon’s Phelps Lane Park, which Rhoads’ office said created a "meaningful and lasting benefit by providing safe, welcoming seating for the community.”
