Crime Report: Dinner Paid With Counterfeit Bill, Stolen Copper Tubing
Recent incident reports in Wantagh and Seaford from the 7th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department's Seventh Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions
- A woman on Maple Street in Wantagh reported discovering a Nintendo DS, computer, iPods, camera, coins and jewelry missing from her residence.
- On Nov. 9, Janice K Mitchell, 43, of Seaford was arrested at Wal-Mart inside the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa and charged with petit larceny.
- A man on Franklin Avenue in Seaford reported discovering missing money from his residence on Nov. 9.
- A man on Maxwell Drive in Wantagh reported to police on Nov. 9 that he was contacted by an alarm company stating that an alarm was triggered at his residence. The man returned home and discovered pry marks on a rear window.
- An unknown suspect through an egg at a front window on Disc Lane in Wantagh on Nov. 10 causing the window to break.
- An unknown suspect paid for his food order at on 3342 Jerusalem Ave., Wantagh on Nov. 10 with a counterfeit $100 bill.
- Tires and rims were reported stolen on Nov. 12 from a complainant's 2009 black Nissan Maxima parked on Sycamore Avenue in Wantagh.
- A rear window at a home on Hilaire Way in Seaford was reported damaged on Nov. 12.
- A home on Jerusalem Avenue in Seaford was burglarized on Nov. 13. The point of entry was through a cut lock. No items were removed.
- A piece of copper tubing was reported stolen from a house on Washington Avenue in Seaford on Nov. 13. The copper tubing connects the outside oil tank to the complainant’s house.
- On Nov. 8, Andrew F Schneider, 44, of Seaford was arrested at his home and charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving while ability impaired and one vehicle and traffic law violation.
