Crime Report: DWIs, Residential Burglary

Recent incident reports in Wantagh and Seaford from the 7th Precinct.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department's . A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • A home on Washington Avenue in Seaford was burglarized on Feb 13. Police said the complainant gradually noticed items missing from his home.  Stolen property included $400, assorted currency, a digital camera and a cell phone.
  • On March 18, Danuta Brajczewska, 51 of Wantagh was arrested at Macy’s inside the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa and charged with petit larceny.
  • On March 27, Leigh A Pantazis, 26 of Merrick was arrested on Sunrise Highway in Wantagh and charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, refusal to take a breath test, and three vehicle and traffic law violations.
  • On March 26, James H Merrigan, 45 of Seaford was arrested on Shore Place in Seaford and charged with driving while intoxicated.
  • A 2009 Kawasaki ZX6R blue motorcycle was reported stolen on March 27 from a shed located in the backyard of a home on Pleasant Road in Wantagh.
