Dead Body Found in Wantagh

New York State Police recovered a dead body in the woods off the Wantagh State Parkway Friday morning.

A state police spokesman said the dead body that was recovered is a male. The man's identity or details such as age and race of the remains were not immediately provided by police.

The dead body was discovered by a jogger in the woods off the northbound side of the Wantagh State Parkway, just north of the Sunrise Highway exit.
