Dec. 16: A Christmas Carol at MacArthur, Former NY Jet Running Back Appearance

2. The Town of Hempstead is holding its 10th Annual Kwanzaa Celebration today starting at 3:30 p.m. in the the Nathan L.H. Bennett on 1 Washington Street, Hempstead.
3. Nassau County Legis. Dave Denenberg, D-Merrick, is hosting a taxpayer assistance program to learn about different tax exemptions available today at the Wantagh Public Library starting at 1 p.m.

4. Former New York Jets running back John Nitti will be appearing at the Tri-County Flea Market in Levittown to sign autographs for the Joey Foundation from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All donations accepted by the Joey Foundaton at Nitti's appearance will support the Kiwanis Safe kids programs.
5. Friday is expected to be mostly sunny in southeast Nassau County with a high temperature near 50 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
