SEAFORD, NY — A dirt-bike rider was critically hurt early Friday after he crashed into a tree in Seaford, police said.

The 24-year-old man was riding south on Seamans Neck Road around 2:50 a.m. when he lost control of the bike and struck a tree at Oxford Lane, police said.

Police officers responded and took him to a hospital for his injuries. Further details weren't immediately released.
