May 3: Reaction to Killing of bin Laden, Voter Registration, Seeking Bloggers

What's happening in and around Wantagh and Seaford.

1.Today is expected to be a pleasant day in the Wantagh-Seaford area with sunny skies and a high temperature near 71 degrees, according to the National Weather Service

2. Yesterday the nation rejoiced the killing of 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden by U.S special forces. In case you missed it here is some reaction of the bin Laden killing from some of the relatives of local victims from the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. 

3. This past Saturday a protest was held on 3500 Sunrise Hwy. at the site of Billy Dean's planned development that many fear will resemble a strip club. In case you missed it, here is a video package of Saturday protest.

4. The Wantagh School District is holding voter registration today starting at 9 a.m. today at for the May 17 budget and school board election vote.
