Molloy Men's Lacrosse Team to Host Clinic for Save Seaford Sports
Proceeds from the July 31 clinic by local college lacrosse program at Seamans Neck Park will go toward effort to restore cut Seaford Middle School athletic teams.

The Molloy College men's lacrosse team's is hosting a youth clinic this Tuesday evening at on behalf of the Save Seaford Sports Committee.
The lacrosse clinic, which is for boys entering grades kindergarten through fifth grade, costs $25 with all proceeds going toward Save Seaford Sports and their mission to restore fall and winter athletic teams not included in the district's 2012/13 budget. The clinic, which is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., will be run by Molloy men's lacrosse head coach Eric Petrullo.

Seaford's $57.8 million budget in May includes funding for the Seaford Middle School spring season but not the fall and winter. Last year's contingency budget only funded the fall middle school season prompting the formation of Save Seaford Sports. The organization was successful in salvaging the winter sports season but of being able to bring back the spring athletic teams.
Save Seaford Sports has been trying to raise the necessary $135,500 needed to restore the fall and winter middle school sports teams, which includes football, field hockey, soccer, volleyball, basketball, wrestling and cheerleading. The group held a fundraiser at in Wantagh on July 14 followed by a car wash the next Saturday at .

Save Seaford Sports was able to raise $6,450 from the Mulcahy's fundraiser, which was attended by 91 people. Entering last weekend, the organization was in need of $62,000 to bring back the fall middle school sports.
