NICE Bus Resumes Summer Service To Jones Beach On Memorial Day Weekend
The N88 runs nonstop service from the Freeport LIRR to Jones Beach State Park starting on May 24.

GARDEN CITY, NY — A convenient option returns for beachgoers on Long Island. Nonstop service to Jones Beach begins on Memorial Day weekend to coincide with the Bethpage Air Show.
The N88 bus will depart from the Freeport LIRR station hourly beginning at 6:36 a.m. on Friday, May 24.
On Saturday-Monday, the first bus will leave Freeport at 8:28 a.m. with frequency increased to every 30 minutes at 9:28 a.m.

Buses will also depart from the Rosa Parks Transit Center in Hempstead hourly on those days starting at 9:37 a.m.
Return service from Jones Beach to Freeport runs hourly until 8:28 p.m. on Friday and every 30 minutes throughout the rest of the weekend.

Due to congestion for the holiday weekend and staging of Air Show activities, service will be limited to the West Bathhouse only during the Memorial Day weekend.
Daily summer service from the Freeport LIRR to all three bathhouses at Jones Beach begins Tuesday, May 28th and will run through September 29th.
One-way fare is $2.90 and NICE accepts its GoMobile payment app, MTA MetroCard or coins (no dollar bills) for payment.
