Nickelback's New Summer Tour Coming To Jones Beach

WANTAGH, NY — It has been 15 years since Nickelback dropped its hit-filled album "All the Right Reasons," and the rock band plans to celebrate the birthday the right way: with a nationwide tour, of course. The summer jaunt will hit Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater Aug. 1.

The band announced the news in an Instagram post Tuesday, writing: "15 years ago we released All The Right Reasons. It's about time we celebrate. All The Right Reasons Tour. Playing the album from cover to cover and more."

Stone Temple Pilots will also perform throughout the tour. Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown will open during the first half of the tour — including in Wantagh — and Switchfoot will perform during the second half.

The 46-city tour begins in Raleigh, North Carolina, on June 16 and ends Oct. 3 in Mountain View, California.

Nickelback has been nominated for five Grammy Awards, the most recent of which came in 2009 for best hard rock performance for its hit song "Burn It To The Ground." The rockers received their first Grammy nod in 2002 with their smash hit "How You Remind Me."

The band has charted hits including "Never Gonna Be Alone," "What Are You Waiting For?," "Rockstar" and "Someday," according to Billboard.

Expect to hear hits from its "All The Right Reasons" album, including "Photograph," "Animals," and "Savin' Me."
