Nov. 4: Republican Rally, Playoff Action, Nick DiPaolo

1. Nassau County republicans held a rally Thursday evening at Levittown Hall in Hicksville. Check back later for a full video report on the rally held five day before Tuesday's county and town elections. 

2. Comedian Nick DiPaolo will perform at Governor's Comedy Club in Levittown tonight at 9 p.m. DiPaolo will then return to Governor's on Saturday for shows at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. 

3. The Church of St. Jude in Wantagh is holding its first cook-off event this evening at 6 p.m. The event will feature homemade gourmet foods, raffles and various items for sale.

4. The Ivy Lane Players, an adult theatre group, will be at the Levittown Public Library tonight at 7:15 p.m.  to perform Blood on the Rocks and Die, Mommie, Die!.

  • Wantagh girls volleyball versus Garden City in Nassau County Conference A Semifinals at Clarke High School in Westbury at 6:15 p.m. 
  • Island Trees boys soccer versus Great Neck North in Nassau County Class A semifinals at Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale at 6:30 p.m. 
  • MacArthur girls soccer versus Massapequa in Class AA semifinals at Denton Avenue Field in New Hyde Park at 4 p.m.
