Pulse CPSEA Symposium: TakeCHARGE: 5 Steps to Safer Healthcare
New York's Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center also joins as a major sponsor.

Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy is happy to announce that it is kicking off 2022 with a 2-day virtual conference: TakeCHARGE: 5 Steps to Safer Health Care, with the theme “Communication is Key.” The symposium, which takes place March 18-19, will link each presentation to one of the TakeCHARGE Campaign’s “5 Steps” that help prevent errors in treatment or medication, avoid infection, keep health records, prep for medical visits, and encourage patient advocacy.
Pulse President Ilene Corina, BCPA, says, “Thanks to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s generosity, the TakeCHARGE Campaign will get off to a great start in 2022. We’re thrilled to have the support of one of the country’s leading healthcare institutions.”

From small beginnings at Pulse, TakeCHARGE has grown into an online movement with partners from coast to coast, using the Web and social media to inform people in all walks of life about taking some responsibility for their own safety when getting medical care.
