Redevelopment Eyed for Merrick Road Gas Station Property

Breslin Realty looking to lease land occupied by Millennium Gas into a new retail development for Seaford.

A Long Island developer is hoping to transform a gas station on Merrick Road into a new retail development for the Seaford community. 

Garden City-based Breslin Realty is working toward leasing a 1.1-acre property on Merrick Road in Seaford across the street from . The land on 4030 Merrick Road is currently occupied by with a vacant parking lot adjacent to the property.

Judy Pascucci, a broker at Breslin, said there have been interested parties looking to store vehicles on the property but retail space is what is preferred for the land. Milliennium remains open on a month-to-month lease but there are plans to ultimately close the gas station once a deal for new development can be reached. Pascucci said there is no timetable for redeveloping the parcel.

“We want to do something that will work well with the community and be of service to the community,”  Pascucci said.
