Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education & Advocacy is pleased to announce that registration is now open for its upcoming Symposium and kickoff for the 2022 TakeCHARGE Campaign.

From small beginnings at Pulse, TakeCHARGE has grown into an online movement with partner organizations from coast to coast, using the Web and social media to inform people in all walks of life about taking some responsibility for their own safety when getting medical care.

According to Pulse CPSEA president Ilene Corina, BCPA, “Medical error is a leading cause of death and injury. Before COVID, Pulse held regular annual symposia bringing together leaders in the patient safety movement with community organizations and interested individuals. This year we are hosting a larger, all-virtual (both computer and mobile devices) event that also serves as the launch of the 2022 TakeCHARGE Campaign season, when we encourage everyone to take five basic steps that will help ensure the best outcomes from medical care.”
