Seaford Students, Teachers, Parents Raise Money For Kids Charity
The Seaford Middle School/High School PTSA presented a gift to the John Theissen Children's Foundation.

SEAFORD, NY — Seaford parents, students and teachers came together to support a well-known local charity recently. The Seaford Middle School/High School PTSA presented a gift, on behalf of the Seaford High School Class of 2020, to the John Theissen Children's Foundation.
Theissen, of Seaford, whose foundation is based in neighboring Wantagh, visited the home of senior class President Jessica Kofod last week for the presentation of a $1,020 check. Joining them: Vice President Max Newman, Secretary Ally McMahon, Treasurer Kelsey Conti, advisers Kim Flood and Shari Raduazzo and association president Lisa Garcia.
The association raised money by selling custom lawn signs that parents bought to honor graduating seniors and continuing eighth graders. Nearly 170 signs were sold, generating more than $2,000, which was split between the senior class and the children’s organization.

Theissen said he plans to use the money for his annual back-to-school supply drive, ensuring that a donation on behalf of students would benefit other students.
