Wantagh Teen Advances in Televised Talent Show
Trish Torrales moves to next round of MSG Varsity competition.
Wantagh resident and Kellenberg High School senior Trish Torrales has advanced to the next round of competition on “MSG Varsity’s Talent Show,” a weekly series that pits the tri-state area’s most talented high school acts against one another.
Torrales, who sang KT Tunstall’s Black Horse and a Cherry Tree, is one of eight acts in the Female Vocalist category. Following her performance, Torrales garnered enough online votes at msgvarsitytalentshow.com to advance to the semi-finals.
Torrales has been singing since she was a child and at age 10 taught herself to play guitar. Her musical influences and idols include The Beatles, Janis Joplin, and Taylor Swift.
